Mysore/Mysuru: The Graduation Day of JSS Medical College, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER), Mysuru, will be held at JSS Medical Institutions Campus in Sri Shivarathreeshwara Nagar on Apr. 19 at 4.30 pm.
Addressing a press meet at Patrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, JSS Medical College Principal Dr. H. Basavana-gowdappa said that NIMHANS, Bengaluru, Director Dr. Pratima Murthy will be the chief guest and give away the awards and medals to the meritorious students. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will grace the occasion. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath will preside. JSS AHER Pro-Chancellor Dr. B. Suresh and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Surinder Singh will be the guests of honour.
On the occasion, 205 students will receive their MBBS Degree out of which 123 are girl students and 82 boys. 11 meritorious students will receive gold medals and 12 cash prizes.
On the occasion, teaching faculty will be honoured with ‘Best Teachers Award’, ‘Research Excellence Award’ for highest number of publications and highest number of citation and prestigious ‘Professor Y.T. Thathachari Endowment Prize’ for the ‘Best Research Publication.’ Dr. Chaitali will be presented the ‘Best Outgoing Student Award.’
