JSS student excels at Robot Expo in Japan

Mysuru: JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science student N.M. Prathap participated in the recently held International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan and bagged gold and silver medals and cash prize of 10,000 dollars for his project on robotics. It is the world’s largest Trade Show focussing on Robotics.

The concept of Skill India has truly motivated many youngsters to think, expedite innovations for the betterment of tomorrow’s India. As part of it, JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science has started UGC Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra, which is providing necessary inputs to mould the young minds to be innovators. Prathap, a final B.Sc. student is a good innovator in the areas of Telegraphy in Border Security, Cryptography in Drone Networking System, Drones in Traffic Management and National Socio Defence.

For his achievements in these areas, he has won a position as Project Developer under Skill India by Ministry of Science and Technology, with a research Grant, according to a press release from the College Principal Prof. M. Mahadevappa.
