JSS University signs MoU with Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology to establish Patent Information Centre

Mysore/Mysuru: JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU), represented by Registrar Prof. S. A. Dhanaraj and Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST), an autonomous organisation under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, represented by Executive Secretary H. Hemanth Kumar, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently in the presence of JSS STU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Vijay Vilas Karjinni, Deans, Heads of Departments, Deputy and Assistant Registrars and faculty members of JSS University.

The objective of this MoU is to establish a Patent Information Centre (PIC) at JSS STU campus to jointly collaborate and organise workshops, training programmes, research activities and assist in further development of IPR ecosystem in the University.

As part of the MoU, KSCST will also provide technical assistance in filing the registration of IPRs and prior art searches as well as associate with identifying the potential IP innovations in research works of University faculty.
