Mysore/Mysuru: “You have come to jail because of the offence that you did at the heat of the moment. However, you should forget the past and get prepared for leading a respectable life after serving Jail sentence,” said Principal District and Sessions Court Judge G.S. Sangreshi, who is also the Chairman of District Legal Service Authority (DLSA).
He was speaking after inaugurating a lecture session on Legal aid for prisoners at a programme organised by DLSA at Central Prison,Mysuru here recently.
Pointing out that legal awareness plays a key role in people leading a respectable life, Judge Sangreshi said that prisoners must make good use of the legal awareness and aid programme organised by DLSA. He called upon the prisoners to transform themselves and thus become part of a better society.
Senior Civil Judge and DLSA Member-Secretary Devaraj Bhute said that the programme has been organised in order to benefit everyone. He asked the prisoners to make best use of this legal awareness and aid programme and lead a meaningful post-prison life.
Central Prison Chief Jail Superintendent K.C. Divyashri, Dy. Superintendent Vijay S. Rodkar, Legal Aid Section Officers M.A. Naveen, K.V. Anand, Jyothi, Anjali and others were present.
