Mysuru: As per the order of Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC), Chamundeshawari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has revised the power tariff from May 14 with the new rate applicable right from April 1.
However, owing to some technical problems the software of the computers could not be tuned to reckon the revised tariff and hence the power bill for customers issued in May was based on the old tariff.
With the software now tuned appropriately, the power bill to be issued in June will incorporate the new tariff and the difference amount payable in May will be indicated as dues in the June bill, according to a press release from CESC.
