Ashwath Rao (63), a retired employee of Information Department, passed away yesterday.

A resident of Raghavendra Nagar in city, he leaves behind his wife, three sons including press photographer A. Krishnaji Rao and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon.
