Mysuru: The Department of Health and Family Welfare in association with Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust has instituted ‘Jeeva Rakshaka Award’ to be given to a person who has helped a victim of an accident to get immediate medical aid.
District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa gave away this award to K. Shivaswamy (Mob:99010-00658) of Kasaba Hobli, Bandipalya, Mysuru, during the I-Day in city yesterday.
Shivaswamy got admitted Puttaiah of Mandakalli to K.R. Hospital, after he was injured on Aug. 26, 2016, near Omkar Petrol Bunk, on Ooty Road, when he was hit by a car. He had also got admitted Nataraj of Hosahundi to JSS Hospital when he was hit by a van on Dec. 29.
