Kaartika edition of Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru, is continuing its ambitious initiative of conducting monthly cultural events since June 2023 to showcase Indian performing arts under the banner “Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava.”

 The ‘Kaartika’ season edition in this series will be held on Dec.2 (Saturday) at 4.30 pm at Champaka Sabhangana, Champaka Academy premises in Ramakrishnanagar, showcasing Bharatanatyam performances by accomplished artistes from Bengaluru and Mysuru.

 The evening will start with a Bharatanatyam feature “RamamBhaje” showcasing popular compositions on Lord Rama by VidushiDr.NagalakshmiNagarajan, Founder of Champaka Academy.

VidushiChethana Nagaraj (vocal), Vidwan K.S. Ganesh (flute) and VidwanVikramBharadwaj (mridanga) will be part of the musical ensemble.

 Guru Dr.PadminiShreedhar, Artistic-Director of NrityaGaana Academy for Performing Arts, Bengaluru, along with her disciples will present “BharataMela-KolaraSampradaya” a Bharatanatyam feature.

Disciples of VidushiPrathima Murthy, Director of NrityaDeeksha School of Classical Dance, Mysuru, will also be presenting a Bharatanatyam feature.

 Mahesh Jambardi, COO of Excelsoft Technologies, Mysuru and Suma Mahesh, Senior Volunteer at SVYM, will be the chief guests. Members of the public may attend the event.  For details call Mob: 99801-34090, according to a press release.
