Sri Shivarathreeshwara Book Award for Thirthahalli Doctor

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. H.S. Anupama of Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district has been selected for Sri Shivarathreeshwara Award (2022) for her book titled ‘Belaginolagu Mahadeviyakka.’

The Award, instituted by Sri Shivarathreeshwara Religious Endowment of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, carries a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a citation.  The Award will be conferred on her at a programme to be held shortly. Sri Shivarathreeshwara Award has been presented to 34 books so far since 1983.

Dr.Anupama is a doctor by profession and has special interest in literature. She has over 50 books, including story collection, poetry collection, novel, biography, medical literature, travelogue, translation and edited books, to her credit.

Presently, she has opened a hospital in Kavalakki village of Honnavara taluk and serving people. She has been a member of Karnataka Federation Against Women Harassment and has also been actively involved in social service. She has been honoured with many awards for her contributions in literary and social service fields.
