Bal Bhavan, Bengaluru and Belagavi had organised ‘Kalashree-2016’ contests in various fields of activities at Suvarna Soudha in Belagavi on Feb.17. M. Manya, a 9th std. student of Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala, Mysuru, was awarded ‘Kalashree-2016 title’ for her excellent performance in Karnatak Music-Vocal by Dr. Anjali Nimbalkar, President, Bal Bhavan, Bengaluru.

Daughter of Lt. R. A. Manjunath and Vidu. M. Meera, Manya is a disciple of Vidu. Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar in Karnatak Music-Vocal.

Kushi, studying in 8th std. at St. Joseph’s Central School, Vijayanagar and practicing yogasana at Mysore Vivekananda Yoga Institute, too has bagged “Karnataka Kalashree- 2016” award for her outstanding performance, dedication and commitment towards promotion and propagation of yoga.
