Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, celebrated the first anniversary of Nirantara Kalemane Utsava at its premises in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage last evening. On the occasion, Kalemane Annual Awards were presented to Gurus in the field of Bharatanatyam followed by performances by Gurus and their disciples. Sivaloganathan, Vidushi Shalini Athmabhushan, Vidushi Pushpa Krishnamurthy, Vidushi Mamatha Karanth and Vidushi Arathi Arun; Standing from left: K.M. Lekha, K.M. Nidhi, Dr. G. Malathy, Rtn. Also there was a Bharatanatyam trio performance by father and daughters — Dr. K. Kumar, Vidu. K.M. Lekha and Vidu. K.M. Nidhi of KPAC. Today from 4 pm, there will be Bharatanatyam recitals by Guru Vid. Udayakumar and troupe; disciples of Guru Vid. J.B. Saravanan Pillai; disciples of Vidu. K.S. Shyla; disciples of Guru Vid. Chethan Gangatkar and Guru Vidu. Chandraprabha Chethan; disciples of Guru Dr. Kripa Phadke and by Acharya Badari Divya Bhushan.
