Kalemane Fest to commemorate Sri Ramanavami Festival

Mysore/Mysuru: Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, has organised the 37th International Nirantara Kalemane Festival on the occasion of Sri Ramanavami Festival on Apr. 20 at Kalemane Sabhaangana in Hebbal 2nd Stage here at 2.30 pm.

Professor Vidu. Asha Hemaraju, Founder of Natyaanjana School of Dance and Music, Bengaluru, Vidu. H.M. Sheela Prabha, Founder of Lahari Academy of Arts and Vidu. Shrividya Shashidhar, Founder of Shri Durga Nrutya Academy, will be the special invitees.

The performances of the evening are as follows:

• Dr. Gayatri Krishnaveni Lakshmanan of Krishnadhwani School of Natya, Chennai and disciples will present ‘Dashavidharupa Hari.’

• Bharatanatyam performance by Bhanu Priya Rakesh of Arka Kala Kuteera, Bengaluru and disciples.

• Dr. Shobha Shashikumar of Mayuri Nrutyashala, Bengaluru and her disciples will present ‘Sri Sitarama Charitam.’

• Keralanadanam by Dr. Joy Krishnan and Mohiniyattam by Vineeta Srinandan.

• Bharatanatyam performance by Dr. Lakshmi Rekha Arun of Laasya Academy of Dance, Bengaluru.

• Bharatanatyam performance by disciples of Karnataka Kalashree Dr. K. Kumar, Founder & Director of KPAC.
