Mysuru: Kumar Performing Arts Centre, Mysuru, has been organising the International Nirantara Kalemane Festival every month for the past three years at its Kalemane Sabhaangana in Hebbal, Mysuru.
This festival successfully completed 49 months and celebrated its Golden Jubilee 50th Month Festival on Jan. 11 and 12.
The celebrations featured varied dance performances and honoured distinguished achievers from various fields with the ‘Kalemane Kalashree’ Award.
The first day’s programme was inaugurated by Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Mysuru Branch. The second day’s programme was inaugurated by MLA K. Harishgowda. Renowned personalities such as Journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar attended the programme.
On the second day, Congress leader K.V. Chethan, along with Ravi, Delhi Ravi and Anand, participated in the event.

‘Kalemane Kalashree’ Awards: During these two days, 11 achievers from various fields were honoured with the ‘Kalemane Kalashree 2025’ Award. They are: K.T. Chikkanna (Literature), Gollahalli Shivaprasad (Folklore), Guru Palaniyappan Pillai (Dance), Guru Karnataka Kalashree Satyanarayana Raju (Dance), Professor S. Mallanna (Sugama Sangeetha), Guru Manjula Vishwanath (Dance), Guru Shraddha Shivaprakash (Dance), Dr. T. Amarnath (Medicine), Ranganath (Journalism), Dr. Sanjay Shantaraman (Dance) and Vid. Parshwanath (Dance).
The festival featured vibrant dance performances by various dance gurus and their disciples, including: Bharatanatyam recitals by Karnataka Kalashree Dr. K. Kumar and his daughters Lekha and Nidhi and the students of Kumar Performing Arts Centre, Guru Palaniyappan Pillai and his disciples, Guru Manjula Vishwanath and her disciples, Guru Shraddha Shivaprakash and her disciples, Guru Dr. Sanjay Shantaraman and his disciples and Guru Vidwan Parshwanath.
The programme was supported with excellent sound and lighting arrangements by Gopi.
