Kanakadasanagar to get new overhead water tank at a cost of Rs. 2.78 crore

Mysore/Mysuru: MP Pratap Simha and MLA G.T. Devegowda jointly performed guddali puja for construction of overhead water tank at Kanakadasanagar here this morning.

Speaking on the occasion, Devegowda said that the water tank would have a 15 lakh litre storage capacity and is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 2.78 crore as part of 24×7 Kabini Drinking Water Project.

Maintaining that the water tank will ensure uninterrupted water supply to Kanakadasanagar, Dattagalli and surrounding areas, he said that the construction of the tank is expected to be complete by the end of this year.

VVWW EE Suvarna, AEE Mustafa, JE Prasanna Kumar, Water Inspector Manju, MUDA EE Kiran Kumar, Corporator Lakshmi Kiranmadegowda, ex-Corporator Hema Gangappa, local leaders Vani Mohan, Basavalingappa and Veena Raj, Krutima were present.
