Kannada Manikya Ratna, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Awards conferred

Dr. Nishanth A. Naidu being conferred with ‘Kannada Manikya Ratna’ award by Athma Shree Kannada Samskrutika Prathistana at Bengaluru recently.

Mysuru: Dr. Nishanth A. Naidu was conferred with ‘Kannada Manikya Ratna’ award at a function organised by Athma Shree Kannada Samskrutika Prathistana in Bengaluru. The event was organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and Sankranti Sambhrama.

This honour was bestowed upon him for his diversified contribution to the field of education. 

Dr. Nishanth is a denizen of Mysuru and the son of Bharathi Annaswamy and Annaswamy. He is at present, the Vice-Principal of STG First Grade College, Chinakurali, Pandavapura. 

He is also a Resource Person for student, parent counselling and faculty development programmes. He has conducted free workshops for Class X and PUC students on How to face exams by visiting various schools and colleges across Mandya and Mysuru districts. More than five thousand students got benefited out of it.

Meanwhile, another Mysurean Dr. S.A. Mohan Krishna, Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, was conferred with Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Education State Award  for his achievements in Science, Education and Technology.

Dr. Shanthaveera Mahaswamji of Kolada Math Mahasamasthana, Bengaluru, graced the occasion. Retired Chief Justice Arali Nagaraj was the chief guest. Dr. V. Nagbhushan Reddy and Dr. Prabhakar Reddy were the guests of honour. Dr. M.A. Gunavanth Manju, organiser of the event, was present.
