Kannada play ‘Party’ staged at Kirurangamandira

The play to be restaged today & tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Senior critic Prof. O.L. Nagabhushana Swamy inaugurated the staging of the play ‘Party’ by Niranthara Foundation at Kirurangamandira in Kalamandira premises yesterday. The play will be staged today and tomorrow at the same venue at 7 pm.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Swamy recalled the achievements of Niranthara Foundation and highlighted its unique position in Kannada theatre. He opined that theatre was a reflection of life and stressed for need of staging plays which are based on pro-societal thinking and cultural responsibilities.

Play Director Chidambara Rao Jambe, Rangayana Director Satish Tiptur, playwright Prasad Kundoor, M.M. Suguna, Prof. Kalachennegowda, Lokesh Mosale, Chinnaswamy Oddagere, senior theatre artiste Rameshwari Verma, Ratna Mirle, Srinivas, Dr. Rekha, Raghu Reddy, S.V.R. Swamy and many other dignitaries took part.
