Kannada short story contest

On behalf of “Sahitya Sakhi,” Lekhika Sahitya Vedike, Bengaluru, has organised a Kannada short story writing competition in memory of Vani, a senior writer responsible for the upliftment of family values and traditions through her novels Eradu Kanasu, Hosabelaku and Shubhamangala, which were made into successful Kannada movies too.

Interested may send unpublished short stories limited to 3 pages (Topic: Family values that are essential in today’s society) to: [email protected]. Anyone can submit a story. Winners will be given cash prizes of Rs. 1,000, Rs. 750, Rs. 500 and Rs. 400, certificate and a memento.

Prize distribution will be held at Srirangapatna, the birthplace of Vani during the “Vani Smarane” event to be held in February.
