Mysuru: Bhavaroopaka Prathishtana has organised an event titled ‘Kannadave Sathya’ on Dec.29 at 5pm at Town Hall premises here to mark the 79th birth anniversary of singer late C. Ashwath.
Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Prathishtana President Koudley Ravindranath said that the ‘Gaana Garudi C. Ashwath Award’ will also be conferred on that day.
Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar will inaugurate the function with Ministers G.T. Devegowda and S.R. Mahesh as chief guests.
A ‘Geetha Gayana’ by singers Ramesh Chandra, Pancham Halibandi, K.A. Surekha, Shona Prabhu and others will also be held on the occasion.
Vishnu movies musical nite: Ninad Musical Trust has organised a musical nite ‘Nanna Haadu Nannadu’ tomorrow (Dec. 28) at 5 pm at Platinum Jubilee Hall at JK Grounds here featuring songs of Vishnuvardhan movies under the direction of V.S.
