KAPRASCON 2026: State Conference of Plastic Surgeons in city on Sept. 5

Mysuru: KAPRASCON 2026, the Annual Conference of Karnataka Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (KAPRAS), will be held at Club Mahindra Golden Landmark, Mysuru, on Sept. 5.

Announcing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city yesterday, KAPRAS President Dr. H.V. Satish (Sr. Plastic Surgeon, Apollo BGS Hospitals), said that the Conference will be inaugurated by Star of Mysore Managing Editor Vikram Muthanna at 11 am.

Past President Prof. Smita Segu (Bengaluru), President-Elect Prof. Rajesh Powar (KLE, Belgaum) and Secretary Dr. K.L. Deepak (Plastic Surgeon, Bengaluru) will be present. KAPRAS Founder-President Prof. B.G. Tilak will be felicitated on the occasion.

Around 140 Plastic Surgeons from Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Belagavi, Shivamogga, Ballari, Hubballi, Hassan, etc., are expected to attend the event and speakers from Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur and Lucknow have also been invited, he added.

Trauma and burn reconstruction, correcting birth defects and cosmetic & aesthetic enhancements will be discusses at the Conference  which features around 40 papers on different topics, prizes for best scientific paper, awards for post graduates etc.

Also, cultural programmes will be held during the Conference.

To showcase Mysuru to the Plastic Surgeons attending the Conference from across the country, a Climbathon has been organised at Chamundi Hill on Sept. 6 at 6.30 am.

As a prelude to the Conference, MMC&RI is hosting a workshop on AV fistula for dialysis patients on Sept. 4.

KAPRAS Organising Secretaries Prof. H.S. Ravi (JSS Medical College) and Prof. Vijay Kumar (MMC&RI) were present at the press meet.
