Bike Rally, Awards ceremony

Mysore/Mysuru: Akhila Karnataka Ex-Servicemen Association, Rajya Ghataka and Bangalore Zilla Ghataka, A7 Entertainment and She For Society have jointly organised a programme to commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas tomorrow (July 30) in Bengaluru.

A ‘Ride with Soldiers’ bike rally will be flagged off by Brigadier MRK Rajesh Panicker, Deputy GOC, K&K Sub-Area, and Col. H.P. Singh, Col ‘A’ at 6.45 am from Manekshaw Parade Grounds at Shivajinagar.

A stage programme will be held at BGS Grounds in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru, at 9.30 am. Governor Thawaarchand Gehlot will be the chief guest, while Association State President Dr. N.K. Shivanna will preside.

Karnataka Sainika Ratna Awards will be presented to 24 ex-servicemen  including MLC C.N. Manjegowda, KAS Officer C.L. Ananda, Advocate and VeKare Ex-Servicemen Trust President Mandetira N. Subramani of Mysuru district. Veteran Ideal Parents Award, Veteran Ideal Wife Award and Kargil Warriors Award will be presented on the occasion. Four President Award winners will also be honoured.
