Mysuru: Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies, an initiative of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement and Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, are jointly organising Karnatak Classical music competitions (both vocal and instrumental) on Oct.11 for students in the age group of 14 to 22, at the Institute premises, #CA-2 KIADB Industrial Housing Area, Ring Road, Hebbal, Mysuru-570016.
The contestants will have to present a kruthi along with a brief manodharma within 8 minutes.
Last date for registration Oct.5. The winners will be awarded with cash prizes in the final concert tentatively in the first week of December 2017 on the occasion of 9th Annual Sulochana Pattabhiraman Utsavam.
