Mysuru: City’s cultural organisation Bhanuvara Sanje Geleyara Balaga, popularly known as BHASANGE Balaga, will present a Karnatak classical vocal recital by Vidushi H.S. Sreeranjini of Bengaluru at Vasudevacharya Bhavana of Nadabramha Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road here on Sunday, 22nd April at 6 pm.
BHASANGE Balaga is providing a platform for young talents in the field of performing arts by organising programmes on monthly basis and this is the Balaga’s 74th monthly music programme.
Profile: A BE graduate in Computer Science and Engineering from NIE, Sreeranjini is one of the bright and upcoming artistes in the field of Karnatak classical music. She basically hails from Mysuru and currently resides in Bengaluru.
Sreeranjini started learning music at a tender age of 7 from Vidushi Veene Jayamma and completed her Prathamika at the age of 12. For the last 16 years, she has been practicing Karnatak music under the guidance of Vidu. Gayathri Sathyanarayan. She finished her Vidwat exam conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Board in 2013-14 and secured 1st Rank. From the past 8 years, she has been teaching Karnatak music at home for people across various age groups.
Sreeranjini is gifted with a beautiful voice which can produce brilliant and effortless akaaraas, and gamakas. She also experiments with Trishra and Khandanadai in Swara Prasthara which has been well-appreciated by the audience.
Sreeranjini has performed at many prestigious stages in and around Mysuru apart from many successful concerts in Bengaluru and Chennai.
On 22nd April, Sreeranjini will be accompanied by Vid. M. Keshav on violin and Vid. Sai Shivu on mridanga.
BHASANGE Balaga welcomes all music-lovers to the concert. Entry for the event is free.
