Hindustani classical vocal recital tomorrow

City’s cultural organisation Bhanuvara Sanje Geleyara Balaga, popularly known as BHASANGE Balaga, is organising Hindustani classical music vocal recital by Dr. Shivaleela Siddaveere at Vasudevacharya Bhavana of Nadabramha Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road, Mysuru on Sunday, 17th June at 6 pm.

Artiste’s profile: Daughter of Sharanamma and Vaijanath Siddaveere, Dr. Shivaleela Siddaveere is currently working at KSGH Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru, as Guest Lecturer of Hindustani Classical Music – Vocal.

She started her music journey at Sangeeth Kala Mandal, Bidar. She was privileged to get the tutelage of stalwarts like Pt. M. Venkatesh Kumar, Ustad Bale Khan, Jayashree Patnekar and currently Pt. Indudhara Nirodi. Dr. Shivaleela is a B. Music, M.Music and PhD degree holder. She has around 10 years of experience as Music Lecturer at Mysuru and Dharawad. She has organised and also participated as resource person in many workshops on classical music. She is a consultant for Music academies in Puna, Bidar and Dharawad. She has, to her credit, the Award of Scholarship in the field of Hindustani Vocal Music by Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India, Rajyotsava award by Bidar district administration, “Shishyara Mechchina Guru” award  by Negilayogi Sangha, Mysore, University research scholarship by Karnataka University, Dharwad and many more accolades.

On 17th, Dr. SHivaleela Siddaveere will be accompanied by Mrutyunjay Hiremath on Harmonium and Bhima Shankar Bidanur on Tabla. BHASANGE Balaga welcomes all music lovers to the concert. Entry for the event is free.
