Sri Krishna Gana Sabha has arranged Monthly Music Concert on Saturday (Aug. 18) by Vidushi Sharanya Sriram at 6 pm at Alwar Kala Bhavan, Srikrisna Temple premises, Gokulam 3rd Stage.
The Music Concert will be inaugurated by Hanur Channappa, Assistant Director, Kannada and Culture Department. She will be accompanied by Vid. Arjun Dinakar on violin, Vid. Mysore Vadiraj on mridanga and Vid.Vikram Bharadwaj on ghata. The programme is sponsored by Lalitha and Arun Chandrshekar.
On Sunday (Aug.19), Vidwan R.N. Sampath Kumar will present a Music Concert at 6 pm at the same venue. He will be accompanied by Vidu. H. Yashaswee on violin and Vid.Vikram Bharadwaj on ghata.
Profile: Sharanya Sriram represents the emerging generation of classical vocalists and performers, steeped in tradition with an increasing repertoire of krithis, supremely captivating voice that has won the hearts of both eminent personalities in the fraternity and rasikas alike. She is a regular face at December Music Festival, Chennai and has performed at several leading venues like The Madras Music Academy, Brahma Gana Sabha, Karthik Fine Arts and Chennayil Thiruvaiyaru, to name a few.
She has appeared and performed in various regional TV channels. She was the Lead Coordinator for a 100-member Carnatic Symphony at the 2014 Bengaluru Sangeet Utsav. Sharanya is a blogger on “Musical Musings.”
Having qualified as an Electronics and Communications engineer, she found her true worth in classical music that logically led her to pursue a Post Graduate degree in Music with high distinction. She is currently pursuing her research on Dwi-Madhyama ragas in Karnatak music from Jain University, Bangalore.
Vidwan R.N. Samath Kumar hails from the piligrimage centre, Ramanathapura, Arakalgud Taluk near Sangeetha Grama, Rudrapatnam in Hassan district. He is learning Music from Vidwan N.R. Prashanth of Mysuru.
An upcoming young artiste, he has been learning Music since his childhood. Music is in his family and he has already given a number of fulfledged concerts at Bengaluru, Mysuru, Hubballi and in his native place.
