Karnatak vocal concert at Ganabharathi on May 24

Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a Karnatak Vocal Concert by two promising youngsters at Veene Seshanna Bhavana on Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar on May 24.

Vidu. Krithika Srinivasan will perform from 6 pm to 7.30 pm and Vid. K.V. Krishnaparasad will present his concert from 7.30  pm to 9 pm. Vidu. Shruthi and Vid. M.R. Manjunath will accompany both the artistes on violin and mridanga respectively.

Artistes’ Profile

Vidu. Krithika  Srinivasan is a disciple of Chitraveena N. Ravikiran and she is also under the guidance of Vid. Anoor Ananthakrishana Sharma.

Having completed Vidwat examination, she has performed in many prestigious Sabhas and cultural gatherings.  She has also been appreciated well for her thematic concerts.

Vid. Krishnaprasad is under the tutelage of R.K. Padmanabha. Having performed in India and abroad, he is also a well-known organiser and has actively involved himself in N.R. Colony Ramamandira and other organisations.

He has composed more than 100 kritis in Kannada and Sanskrit and he has also been a resource person for workshops in Karnatak music. He has been awarded Nadajyoti, Sangeetha Visharada, Ananya Yuva Puraskara and many more awards.
