Mysore/Mysuru: RAAGA Music Academy will present a grand Karnatak Vocal Concert by Vidu. Anjana P. Rao tomorrow (Saturday) at Bidaram Krishnappanavara Prasanna Seetharama Mandira, Narayana Shastry Road at 5 pm.

Vidu. Anjana P. Rao started learning Karnatak vocal under Vid. H.S. Nagaraj and pursued further under Vid. S. R. Maruthi Prasad and is currently under the tutelage of Dr. T. S. Sathyavathi.

Having started performing at the age of eight, she has performed in prestigious sabhas in India and abroad. She has been awarded a scholarship from Karnataka Sangeeta Nrithya Academy and a fellowship from Inlak India Foundation, Mumbai for a project on Konnakol.

Having been recognised as a B high grade artiste from AIR, she has been bestowed with awards from the Department of Kannada and Culture and other prestigious organisations.

On Saturday, Vidu. Anjana P. Rao will be accompanied by Vidu. Prithvi Bhaskar on violin, Vid. Malladi Sree Aravind on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Koushik on ghata.
