Ganabharathi has organised a Karnatak vocal music concert today (Nov.17) at 6pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavana in Kuvempunagar by Vidu. Mysore Sangeetha Dileep. She will be accompanied by Vid. Dileep on Violin, Vid. Sunil Subrahmanya on Mridanga and Vid. T. A. Ramanuja on Morching.
Profile: Born in 1991, Sangeetha Dileep commenced vocal training under Vid. H. N. Rajalakshmi and continued under Vidu. Pushpa Shrinivasan for 10 years. She is also a competent violinist trained in Parur style under Vid. H. K. Nrasimhamurthy for a few years and currently trained under her violinist husband Vid. K. J. Dileep and his father Vid. K. J. Shyamasharma. She has performed in many prestigious sabhas in Chennai such as Madras Music Academy, Narada Gana Sabha, Mylapore Fine Arts, Shanmugananda Sabha, Mumbai, Nadabrahma, Mysuru, Ananya, Bengaluru, Bharath Kalachar etc.
She is an active musician in dance field as well and has given music support to legends such as Vaijayanahtimala Bali, Alarmelvalli and Sharmila Biswas.
Sangeetha and Dileep make a unique couple as they play violin duet and also perform vocal-violin duet concerts. She has won many awards such M. S. Subbalakshmi award, Karnataka Government Cultural award and awards from Ariakudi Foundation and Subbaramayya Trust to mention a few.
