Karnataka kettlebell lifters create history

Karnataka team won maximum medals (13 gold and 2 silver) and was placed among the Top 3 States in the 2nd KSIA National Kettlebell Lifting Championship (Sub-Junior, Junior and Senior) at Poornima University in Jaipur, Rajasthan, recently.

Over 150 athletes from 13 States — Karnataka, Kerala, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat, West Bengal, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Chandigarh — took part in the Championship. H.S. Nandini, Government First Grade College for Women, K.R. Pet, Mandya and V. Sanjana, JSS Women’s College, Mysuru, were selected for International Championship to be held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from Apr. 27 to 30. Also, B. Srinivasa has been selected as Indian team coach.
