Mysuru: Following a Court order, the Returning Officer (RO) of the city-based Karnataka Police Housing Co-operative Society has withheld the results of the polls held to elect the new Board of Directors (2025-30). The polls were held on Feb. 9 at the Society Office in Netajinagar, in which 440 of 554 voters exercised their franchise. After the polling hours ended, counting of votes too was taken up. But the RO S. Vasanthkumar withheld the results following a Court order.
The polls was held to elect 11 Directors, for which a total of 18 candidates had contested. Earlier, two Directors were elected unopposed — Puttanna from Backward Class Category-A seat and Shivamanju from ST reserved seat.
The 18 candidates, who contested for 11 seats included Society’s current President T.N. Nagesh, Vice-President Marigowda, current Directors Nagaraju, A.N. Nagendraprakash, G. Baby, M.S. Mohan, C.V. Raju, M.D. Shivaraju, S. Siddarajegowda, Sundari and K.G. Niranjan.
