Mysore/Mysuru: Karnataka Samskrutika – Sahitya Parishat, cultural programmes and other related events will be inaugurated on May 28, said Parishat’s State President Savitha Shastri.

Addressing a  press conference at Patrakartara Bhavan in the city on Thursday, she said the inaugural function will held at 10.30 am at Town Hall in the city.

Melukote Vangeepura Mutt’s Sri Ilai Alwar Swamiji will grace the function. Social worker Dr. Raghuram Vajapayee will inaugurate. Shreshta Kala Sevaratna Rajya Prashasti and Shreshta Nagarika Sevaratna  Rajya Prashasti will also be given to achievers. Mothers of martyr soldiers, women civic workers and transgenders will be felicitated, she added.

Kavigoshti, Music, Dance, Mimicry and other entertainment programmes have also been organised.

Also a free eye check-up camp will be held from 10.30 am to 2 pm by Annapoorna Eye Hospital at the Town Hall premises.
