Karnataka State Senior & Junior Athletic Championship: Mysuru athletes fare well

Mysuru athletes representing Mysore District Athletic Association (MDAA)fared well in the Karnataka State Senior and Junior athletic meet 2017 held at Moodabidri recently.  Meghana Devanaga won the gold in the women’s shot put event with a throw of 32.82 mts. Nikhil Atchgal won the gold in the 800 mts event for U-16 boys. He struck gold with a timing of 2:03.3 sec. Nihal Joel won the gold in the U-18 boys 400 mts event with a timing of 48.7 sec.

Neetha won the bronze in the U-16 girls 100 mts event, while G. Sharon won the bronze in the Girls U-14 100 mts event. G. Pallavi won the gold in the girls U-18 3000m event. Sushma won the silver medal in the girls U-18 discus event.

Dushanth won the bronze in the boys U-16 100 mts event. Anand won the gold in the U-14 boys High Jump event, while Nikhil won the gold in the U-16 boys 800 mts event. Md.Saqlain won the silver in the U-18 boys discus event.

Asuthosh, a student of Deeksha Manasarovar Pushkarni College, Mysuru, won the gold in under-18 boys 2000m steeple-chase event.
