Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Shivarathreeshwara Mahila Samaja, Mysuru, has organised a programme to confer Kasturba Gandhi Award on four women achievers on Apr. 23 at its premises in Saraswathipuram.

The award is in recognition of exceptional achievements in their respective fields.

The following personalities have been selected for the award: Vijayalakshmi Urs (Politics), V. Malini (Arts), Dr. Chandrika Patil (Legal Advisor), B. Shobha (Culture Service).

Former MLC Thontadarya will present the awards. Madhyama Academy awardee Dr. M.G.R. Urs will preside, according to a press release from Samaja President Ratna Halappa Gowda.
