Mysuru: Marking Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Jayanti tomorrow, Janachethana Trust, together with other organisations, will take up total rejuvenation of Aiynora Lake near Ring Road in Lalithadripura here.
Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan here yesterday, Janachethana Trust President Prasanna N. Gowda recalled that when Kempegowda chose Bengaluru to be the capital of the State, the first importance given was conservation and upkeep of all water bodies as water is the lifeline of all living species. He said that to carry on the message of Kempegowda, Janachethana Trust has been engaged for the last ten years in creating awareness among people on preservation of lakes and conservation of precious water.
Continuing, Prasanna said that celebrating Kempegowda Jayanti meaningfully, the Aiynora Lake, which is on the verge of extinction, would be rejuvenated thoroughly on June 27.
Ananda Rao of Suraksha Foundation, Raju B. Kannali of Grameena Samsthe, Prashanth and P. Geetha of Swachhanda team were present during the press meet.
