Mysuru: The District Administration, along with other organisations, has decided to celebrate Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Jayanti on June 27. A decision in this regard was taken during the meeting held at the DC’s office recently which was chaired by ADC T. Yogesh.
He said that the stage programme will be held at Kalamandira at 11 am by offering floral tributes to a portrait of Kempegowda followed by singing programme and a lecture by Dr. P.K. Rajashekar.
Prior to that, a procession would be taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to Kalamandira, the ADC said.
He said that the MCC officials have been instructed to keep the premises in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple and Kalamandira clean, decorate the chariot and provide drinking water facility. He also said that the Police Department has been asked to provide security during the procession and the stage programme.
