Khadi Utsav in city from Nov. 15

Mysuru: The 15-day State-level Khadi Utsav-2018, organised jointly by Karnataka State Khadi and Village Industries Board, Bengaluru and the Department of Industries and Commerce, will be held from Nov. 15 to Nov. 29 at J.K. Grounds in city.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here this morning, Khadi Gramodyog Development Officer V. Annappa said that the Utsav will be inaugurated by District Minister G.T. Devegowda at 4 pm on Nov. 15.

Tourism Minister S.R. Mahesh will inaugurate the Khadi Pavilion while Small Scale Industries Minister S.R. Srinivas will inaugurate the Gramodyog Pavilion. MLA L. Nagendra will preside.

There will be 75 stalls at the venue out of which 40 stalls will be allotted exclusively to Khadi weavers and the remaining 35 to village industries manufacturing pickles, jams, wooden and leather products, ayurveda products and honey among others.
