Killer road humps near Bandipur

Sir,

On some stretches of  National Highway (NH) 67 passing through Bandipur and Mudumalai forests, the authorities have fixed road humps. It is strange to note that the humps within Karnataka  State are very badly constructed and maintained. Many of the humps are without white stripes and caution boards.

But the road humps in Tamil Nadu side are better managed with white stripes on the humps along with a reflecting caution board. The humps in TN are better than the totally unscientific humps in the Bandipur range.

I fail to comprehend the lackadaisical approach by the National Highway authorities for the same stretch of NH in two different States. Or is it that the National Highways are managed by the respective State governments?

Hope the concerned authorities will modify these unscientific road humps by painting them with white stripes and fix reflecting caution boards.
