Kite flying competition held

Mysuru: Hundreds of Mysureans took part in the kite festival organised by Mysuru Veerashaiva Sajjana Sangha at Uttanahalli Grounds located at the foot of Chamundi Hill in city on Sunday.

The city skies were painted bright as variety of kites of various shapes, colours and types dotted the skies. People from all age groups were seen enjoying flying variety of kites along with their family members and friends. Participants were seen flying kites in the shapes of snake, dolphin, dragon among others.

The kite flying competition was held in four categories in which Nagaraj bagged the rolling trophy for emerging victorious in three out of four categories.

Sangha President M.T. Mallikarjun, Secretary K.V. Pradeep Kumar, Treasurer P.M. Sunil, Vice-President P.N. Dinesh, Joint Sectary Manohar, Organiser M.N. Nithin and others were present.

Imported kites: 1. Bhavya, 2. Prabhu Dev, 3. K. Rhishi.
