Kodagu planter B. B. Chengappa passes away

Madikeri: Noted Philanthropist from North Kodagu Biddanda Bopaiah Chengappa (B.B. Chengappa) passed away in Guyya, Siddapur yesterday. He was 76.

A coffee planter, Chengappa  owned Guyya Estate in Siddapur. He leaves behind his wife Lekha Chengappa, son Vinay Aiyappa, who is working in Ethiopia and a host of relatives and friends.

His other son had passed away in an air crash at Canada 8 years ago.

Chengappa had donated Rs.10 lakh to Kodagu Model School at Vidyashankar Layout, Sathagalli in Mysuru city where his sister-in-law Naina Achappa is serving as a Correspondent.

Last rites were performed at his estate in Siddapura this afternoon, according to family sources.
