Mysuru: The Kodagu Sahakara Sangha, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru, has strongly opposed the proposed Railway line project passing through Kodagu district.

In a press release, the Sangha President A.C. Nanjamma said that the proposed rail project is an ecological disaster for the district as the unique geographical features and the social fabric of the district gets destroyed.

Maintaining that the project would be of no help to the district, she said that the Sangha extends its full support for the agitations going on against this destructive project.
