Kodava boys to go on ‘Rain-Ride to Coorg’

Bengaluru-based Kodava boys Chengappa Chekkera and Kodira Ashish Muthappa will go on a 270 km from cycle ride from Bengaluru to Kodagu ‘Rain-Ride to Coorg’ on Aug. 12  to create awareness on environmental issue and highlight the problems of Cauvery catchment areas.

The cyclist will leave Bengaluru at 3 am and reach Mandya early in the morning. On reaching Mandya, the cyclist-duo will hold discussions with the farmers and people about the importance of Cauvery Catchment Area. The duo will also seek the farmers support for the conservation activities in Kodagu and Mandya. They will also hold similar discussions with farmers in Mysuru as well.

Chengappa is an HR professional with AB Mauri in Bengaluru while Ashish is a studying II year B.Sc (Interior Design) at Jain Univesity, Benagluru. Previously, the both Chengappa and Ashish have taken out similar rides to promote cleanliness, plantation, Bengaluru marathon among others.
