Kodava language film ‘Kodagura Sipayi’ to be screened at Kodava Samaja in city on Oct. 26, 27

Former international athlete Arjun Devaiah plays lead role in the movie

Mysuru:  ‘Kodagura Sipayi’, a movie in Kodava language Produced and Directed by Kottukathira Prakash Cariappa, has hit the screens. The movie, presented by Coorg Coffeewood Movies, is based on a novel and narrates the story of a soldier, played by former international athlete and personality development speaker Theethamada Arjun Devaiah. 

A special screening of the movie will be held on Oct. 26 and 27 at Mysuru Kodava Samaja in Vijayanagar I Stage. There will be three shows (11 am, 2 pm and 6.30 pm) on both the days and tickets are priced at Rs. 100. 

Tickets will be available at the Office of Mysuru Kodava Samaja and on the day of the movie screening, special ticket counters will be set up at the Samaja premises. 

On Oct. 26, between 1 pm and 2 pm, there will be a stage function where the lead roles of the movie — Arjun Devaiah, Tejaswini Sharma, Thennira Kailash, Bollajira Aiyyappa, Thathanda Prabha Nanaiah, Vanchira Jaya Nanjappa, Vanchira Vittal, Kundhira Prathu and Ballaranda Rajesh — will be present. 

Mysuru Kodava Samaja President Kekada M. Belliappa will preside over the function while Kodava Samaja Cultural and Sports Club President Machimada P. Nanaiah will be the chief guest. Uluvangada Cauvery Udaya has written the story. 

The movie portrays the life of a soldier in the Army protecting Indians from foreign attacks in hostile weather conditions. He leaves behind his family and sacrifices his youth to the Nation without thinking twice to lay his life, protect India’s sovereignty and integrity.
