Konkani Christian Assn. celebrates Christmas

Mysore/Mysuru: The Konkani Christian Association (KCA), Mysuru, celebrated Christmas on Sunday (Dec. 21) at their Konkan Bhavan in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage.

The event commenced with Holy Mass in Konkani at 4 pm solemnised by Rev. Fr. Santha Lopez, Capuchin Priest and concelebrated with 9 other priests, followed by Xmas celebration. 

The Christmas Cake was cut by the specially-abled children of Ranga Rao Memorial Charitable Trust in the presence of Rev. Fr. Santhosh John, Parish Priest of Holy Family Church – Hinkal, John William D’Souza, KCA President and members of KCA Managing Committee on the dais. 

On this occasion, Rev. Fr. Santhosh John released the 2026 Calendar of the Konkan Pathina Sahakara Sangha Niyamitha, Mysuru. During the event, the Association extended monetary support of Rs. 50,000 by handing over the cheque to Fr. Tunni Corean, Director of ODP’s Cancer Patient Project.

The specially-abled children gave a  mesmerising performance. The Association gifted pull-overs to all of them.

The choir of St. Peter’s Church Bogadi enthralled the audience with their synchronised carols. 

Rev. Fr. Santhosh John, Parish Priest of Holy Family Church, Hinkal, gave the Christmas message. Joyce Sequeira, General Secretary of KCA welcomed. Meena Dias, Vice-President, proposed the vote of thanks. Vincent D’Souza compered the programme. Stany Lobo, Vice-President, Anil Saldanha, Treasurer, Sylvester D’Mello and Pramila Monis, Joint Secretaries, participated in the festivities.

 Konkani residents of Mysuru and Chamarajanagar districts attended the party, which concluded with a festal dinner provided by the Association.
