KPA holds two-day workshop on ‘Finding Lapses in Investigation’

Mysuru: A two-day workshop on ‘Finding Lapses in Investigation, Filling the Gaps, and Correctional Measures’ was conducted by Karnataka Police Academy (KPA) for Police personnel at its premises in city recently.

Inspector General of Police (IGP-Southern Range) Dr. M.B. Boralingaiah, who inaugurated the workshop, suggested several methods for conducting investigations to the Investigating Officers.

Retired Judge Satish Singh, retired Deputy Director of Prosecution Rudraiah Ganjigatti, retired Public Prosecutor Chinnappa, senior Legal Officer of Mangaluru Division Shivaprasad Alva, Forensic Science Lab Deputy Director Dr. Chandrashekar, JSS Law College CEO Prof. Suresh, retired Dy.SP Ashokan, retired Forensic Science Officer Ravindra and others were the resource persons.

Group discussions, information exchange, demonstration and role-play were conducted at the workshop in which 56 Police Inspectors and 150 probationary Police Sub-Inspectors took part.

KPA Director N. Vishnuvardhana, Deputy Director S.L. Chennabasavanna, Course Director S.N. Sandesh Kumar and others were present.
