Mysore/Mysuru: Kumar Performing Arts Centre (KPAC), Mysuru, had organised the 57th International Nirantara Kalemane Festival at its Kalemane Sabhaangana in Hebbal 2nd Stage on June 29.
Prof. Suryanarayana Swamy, retired Professor of the Kannada Department, Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru, was the chief guest. Bharatanatyam Dance Gurus and scholar Dr. Jamuna Rani Mirle, S. Dhanalakshmi, K.N. Seema, N. Sindhu, Dr. Lakshmi Viswanathan, Archana Bhatt, ‘Savigannada’ Editor Ranganath and Kalasuruchi Editor Balakrishna were the special invitees.
These dignitaries inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The renowned dance guru from Kasaragod, Vid. Balakrishna Manjeshwar, along with his team of 20 students, singers and instrumentalists, presented a spectacular and engaging Classical Bharatanatyam performance that lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Throughout the presentation, they skillfully incorporated dance sequences dedicated to various deities including Ganesha, Parvati, Hanuman, Rama, Krishna and Ayyappa, and presented group performances with innovative choreography that won the hearts of the audience.
Another highlight was the performance by Guru Vidu. Mahima Harish, a well-known dance guru from Bengaluru, who arrived with her talented students. Their presentation beautifully featured Thodaya Mangala, Mysore Jathi and a Keertana on Ganesha, delighting the hearts of all art lovers present.
The Kalemane Sabhaangana was filled with scholars and connoisseurs.
