Mysore/Mysuru: Over 10,000 candidates appeared for the written exam conducted by the KPSC today for recruitment to 230 posts of Commercial Tax Inspector (CTI), at 22 centres spread across the city.
As many as 10,918 candidates had registered for the exam in Mysuru centres, while a whopping 1.60 lakh candidates had registered totally in the State.
Additional DC Lokanath and DC Office Tahsildar Shivaprasad visited some of the city centres and inspected the conduct of the exam. The exam is said to have passed off smoothly at all the centres. City Police had clamped prohibitory orders from 6 am to 6 pm within 200 mts. radius around all the centres to ensure smooth conduct of the exams. Also, all photocopy shops in the vicinity of the centres were asked to shut down for the day.
