‘Kreeda Ratna’ award was presented to international Panja Kusti wrestlers (Arm Wrestlers) at a programme organised under the aegis of Suvarna Belaku Foundation at Namana Kala Mantapa in Krishnamurthypuram here recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Social worker K. Raghuram said that our mental health will largely improve by taking part in physical and sporting activities. Stressing on the need for accepting victory and defeat on equal terms, he advised the youths to keep on trying until success is achieved.
District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal too spoke.
Achiever arm wrestlers M. Raju, Mahadev, Dhanush, Anna Basilica and Hamsa were conferred ‘Kreeda Ratna’ awards.
The Foundation’s new year calendar was also released on the occasion.
Earlier, Sanskrit Scholar Dr. K. Leelavathi inaugurated the programme.
The Foundation’s Founder President Mahesh, Yoga teacher Ananth, K.T. Balaramegowda, Sridhar Dikshit, Ashwath and others were present.
