Due to Corona pandemic, ISKCON at Jayanagar, Mysuru, has planned an inhouse celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami on Aug. 12, without public participation. All the sevas to Sri Krishna Balarama will be performed by the Ashram missionary devotees. Elaborate Mahabhisheka to Sri Krishna Balarama begins at 10.15 pm and culminates with Maha Mangalarati and Sankirtana at 12 midnight, coinciding with the time of Krishna’s birth. This event will be telecasted live through ISKCON Mysore’s Facebook and YouTube channel. Also, ISKCON Bangalore has organised virtual celebration of Janmashtami titled ‘Swagatam Krishna’ — a series of cultural and devotional events — to be telecasted live through ISKCON Bangalore’s social media channels on Aug. 11 and 12, according to Jai Chaitanya Dasa, President, ISKCON Mysore.
