Kriya Yoga comes to Mysuru

Talk on Ugadi Day, initiation next Day

The ancient system of meditation, Kriya Yoga, explained in the Vedas, Upanishads, the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali and other scriptures based on simple scientific techniques of breath, a few spinal exercises and meditation is being presented as a sure means of achieving development of body, mind, intellect and spiritual state, by Sri Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji of Prajnana Mission, Jagatpur, Cuttack, Odisha, at a programme in Shivananda Jnanalaya, JLB Road, here under the auspices of Mysuru Kriya Yoga Dhyana Kendra beginning at 5. 30 pm on Ugadi Day (Wednesday, 29th March).

The exponent of Kriya Yoga will also conduct a session to initiate (Diksha) the  aspirants of the techniques at the same venue on the next day (Thursday, 30th March) from 8 am.

Programme:  Following invocation at the function on Ugadi Day, a Bharathanatyam dance on Kriya Yoga will be performed by Mitra Naveen and troupe (Nada Vidyalaya) and Paramahamsa Prajnananandaji will deliver a talk on the subject.  M.A. Narasimhan, Director, Anantha Research Foundation, Mysuru, will be the chief guest. Dr. M.A. Jayashree, retired Professor and Head, Department of Sanskrit, Banumaiah College,  will be the guest of honour.
