Raichur Zone gained the vital first innings points against Mysuru Zone in the KSCA Inter-Zonal U-14 Group ‘B’ league tie played at the IAF Grounds here on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

Resuming at the overnight score of 71 for no loss in 37 overs, Mysuru were bowled out for 146 in 68.2 overs by Raichur. Opener Likith top scored with 53 runs. Fellow opener K. Prajwal scored 34 runs. Both added 86-runs for the opening wicket. Adarsh Karadi took four for 17 and was well supported by Sridhar who took four for 37 for Raichur.

Raichur Zone gained a vital first innings lead of 67-runs. In their second essay, Raichur Zone scored 240 for five in 68.4 overs. Middle-order batsman Sohail Makander scored a fine century 104 (15x4s) and was well-supported by Prabhu Sasalatti 86 (6x4s). Both of them added 174-runs for the third wicket. Medium-pacers S. Ishaan took two for 41 and S. Dhanush Gowda two for 42 were the wicket-takers.

The match ended in a draw and with this, Raichur Zone secured three points while Mysuru Zone secured one.
