KSCA Mysuru Zonal League 2017: Vijeth, Nirmith shine for RBNCC

Unbeaten centuries by D. Vijeth (131 not out) and Nirmith Nityanand (101 not out) helped RBNCC ‘B’ post a whooping 334 for loss three wickets in 47 overs against Young Cricketers in KSCA Mysuru Zone III Division league match played at Vidya Vikas in city on Sunday last. Batting first, RBNCC ‘B’ was given a good start with both openers Vinod Kumar and Punit Revanna scoring 43 and 38 respectively. After they left the wicket, it was Vijeth and Nirmith who piled on the runs and remain unbeaten till the end.

In reply, Young Cricketers were bundled out for 226 in 39.1 overs. G. Vinay topped scored with 86 runs while Punit Revanna, Abhishek Jain and Nirmith picked up couple of wickets each.

In the other second division match, T.P. Sharbin’s allround performance (five for 44 & 82) helped Futures CC to register a eight-wicket win against Jaihind CC ‘A’  in the KSCA Mysuru Zone II Division League played at the Manasa Gangothri grounds here recently.

II Division: Jaihind CC ‘A’ 245 in 48.2 overs (Prithvishekar 54, Chandan Kumar 42, Yeshwanth 41, Ganesh 30, J. Kiran 25, T.P. Sharbin five for 44, Naveen Shetty two for 61) lost to Futures CC 214 for two in 32 overs (V. Uttam Gowda 93 n.o., T.P. Sharbin 82, D. Amruthraj 28) (Rain stopped play- Revised target-211 in 43 overs).

III Division: RBNCC ‘B 334 for three in 47 overs (D. Vijeth 131 n.o., N. Nirmith 101 n.o., C. Vinod Kumar 43, Punit Revanna 35, M. Karthik two for 42) bt Young Cricketers 226 in 39.1 overs (G. Vinay 86, M. Karthik 30, Raghunandan 27, Punit Revanna two for 58, Abhishek Jaintwo for 20, N. Nirmith two for 35 ).

Warrior CC 170 in 40.3 overs (Varun Shetty 44, Mujahid Ahmed 36, S. Gowtham three for 38, Kushal two for 19, C.R. Praveen two for 34) lost to The Mysore City Gymkhana 173 for five in 33.2 overs (Naveen Prasad 77, P. Revanth 28, V. Devanand 26 n.o., Sanjay two for 26).

FACC 175 in 49.6 overs (Subramanyan 43 n.o., V.Sanath Kumar 34, Hariharan 28, Robin Stallin S 26. Kiran four for 18) lost to Lucky Boys CC (N’gud) 88 for three in 13 overs ( Shekar 44) (Rain stoppedplay- Revised target-88 in 25 overs).
